How to use UsefulRest
Breaks: "MicroPause" Mode
For the prevention of Occupational Overuse Syndrome (OOS) and Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), UsefulRest informs you about the beginning of a MicroPause (short break) in your work on the computer at specified intervals of time. When the time has come to begin a break, the screen is blocked (that is, you cannot work with other programs during a break), and the UsefulRest window is displayed.
This is called "MicroPause" mode. By default, it is disabled.
You can set UsefulRest to work "MicroPauses Only" mode or together with "Break" mode.
Depending on your requirements, you can change interval of work between micropauses and the duration of the micropauses themselves. By default, the interval of work between micropauses is 10 minutes, and the duration of a micropause is 30 seconds.
During a micropause, a UsefulRest window shows the time remaining to the end of the break.
The beginning and ending of a micropause can be accompanied by sounds or melodies, which you always can easily change.
During a micropause, your favorite song or melody can be played. You can easily replace the current song with another or disable this feature altogether.
Depending on UsefulRest settings, the UsefulRest window can be translucent or black. By default, for the majority of the security levels, the UsefulRest window will be translucent.
For some security levels, there is no opportunity to interrupt a micropause.
For some security levels, there is an additional opportunity to interrupt a micropause with a password. If this option is included, but the password was not defined, then to exit from a break, there is no need to enter a password, and you can simply click the "Close" button. Therefore, if you have turned on "Use a password to interrupt a Break", do not forget to set the password.

At the end of a micropause, UsefulRest prompts you to press any key to close the window. After pressing any key on the keyboard or clicking the "Close" button, you can resume your work on the computer. UsefulRest itself continues to run in the background.
