The available five-speed Sport AT automatic transmission adjusts shifting logic according to operator's driving style. A separate shift gate also allows quick, smooth sequential manual shifting.

  The MAZDA3 4-door has the right strut. The McPherson strut design is sport-tuned and has springs mounted at an off-set angle from the shocks to reduce friction from lateral forces.
